Community Services
Apart from being an independent voluntary and benevolent organisation, the Red Crescent is very much community service orientated. It reaches out to the people who are in need of help, especially the vulnerable and those who need help.

Blood Donors Recruitment
The Blood Donors Recruitment Programme began in1948 and is today’s limelight activity not for Sarawak Branch, but the whole of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society. The Branch had scored success in curbing the unethical selling of blood by unscrupulous persons. Another milestone in this Programme is the increase of blood donors drawn from the civilian population. Public education had been the main thrust towards yielding this sucess. The Society also provides recognition to the blood donors through a system of awards, besides the incentives given by the Ministry of Health. Innovative competitions for blood donors recruitment are also being organised to induce greater turn over of new blood donors. Health protection of our voluntary donors through our hepatitis immunisation programme had been initiated to sustain the existing panel of donors.  Incentives for blood donors

Dissemination of International Humanitarian Law
Dissemination of I.H.L. is to instil greater understanding of the Movement and its ideals so as to generate a stronger spirit of humanitarism and volunteerism.

A First Aider In Every Home Programme
‘A First Aider In Every Home’ Programme is one of the community service of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society. The objective of this programme is to provide first aid training to the community and help people feel more confident of their ability to respond to an emergency and how to act appropriately in the event of an emergency.

Our main target groups are the staff and students in schools, colleges and institutions of learning; employees of Offices and Statutory bodies; members of youth organisations, service clubs and associations; residents in housing estates, kampongs and longhouses. They can approach the Malaysian Red Crescent Society at Stampin Chapter to request for the first aid courses to be conducted.

Instructors involved in the teaching of the programme will follow a standardised syllabus which will be delivered in the form of video presentation, lectures, demonstrations and practical sessions. The course duration will be 6½ hours covering three major areas.
