Firstly, you click on the Start button. Then go to Program and go to Netscape Communicator Professional Edition and click on Netscape Composer.
2. How to create a HTML file.
Firstly, you click on the New button
on the toolbar. A blank page will come out. On the blank page you can type
what ever you want. For example :
WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE!
3. Saving a HTML file.
You just click on the save button on the toolbar.
4. Preview.
To preview the HTML file that you
just create, you can click on Preview button on the toolbar.
5. To insert a link to your page.
Click on the Link button. Then a screen will appear. In the first box, you are required to enter the text that can describe the link that you want to link to, e.g.: Sarawak Alive! . Then in the second box, you are required to enter the address of the page you to link from, e.g.: http://www.sarawak.com.my. Then click on the Apply button and then Close.
6. To insert a target.
A target is used to make it easy for the user to surf your page. For example, when a page is too long, and you are at the bottom of the page. Then you want to get to the top of the page, you can simple click on the target, and it will take you up to the top of the page without scrolling the scrolling bar. Here how its work.
Click on the target button. A screen will appear asking you to enter the name of the target, e.g. : 1. Then an icon will appear to indicate that is the target. Then you just continue typing the content of your page. After you finish typing and you want user to go back to the top without using scrolling bar, you create a link. You just follow exactly the step shown at #5 above but now at the second box you type in the name of the target that you have created, instead of typing the address of the link, e.g.: 1. Then you click on Apply and then Close.
7. To insert an image.
Click on the image button. In the first box, you type in the name of the image file. If you don't remember the name of the file, click on Choose File button. If you want to use the image as a link, instead of using text, click on the Link beside the Image. Then you just follow exactly the step that are shown at #5 above.
8. To insert the heading line.
After you type the header for your page. You can click on the H.Line on the toolbar, so your page can look better organized.
9. To insert a table.
Click on the table button and a screen will appear asking you for how many rows and column do you want. After that, you just simply click on the Apply button and then Close.
10. To check spelling.
After you have finish doing
your page, you can also check for the spellings by simply clicking the
Spelling button.
