Senga Macfie beat Hugoline Van Hoorn 9-4, 9-3, 9-6 (3-0)

This match was short and fast. Senga controlled the game and placed her shots well making Hugoline reteive and charge around. By the 3rd game she was beginning to get into the match but too late and Senga finished the game off.

First WISPA event to be held in Sarawak. It will be the first International Squash event for women to be competing in Sarawak.

Prize money of USD6,000 for the women.

The venue at the Civic Centre for the main events in a special 4 sided glass court .

There is an Open invitation to all the games to the public and Squash fans. There are some promotional activities to promote squash as a fun , healthy sport.

We had some great matches and the players enjoyed themselves - some getting a little sunburnt! Some staying up all night finding the best night spot in Kuching.
