We bring warm greetings to you from Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia!
Malaysian Red Crescent, Miri Chapter is planning to organise an "International Dance For Humanity"
with the theme, "Together for International Peace & Harmony". This event will, for the first time,
be participated by National Societies from ASEAN countries and Asia-Pacific regions by invitation.
Other local dance troupes will also be among the hosts of participants.
Background
MRC Miri Chapter had organised in previous years the 'Dance for Humanity' as a fund-raising event
through the kind patronage of supporters and well-wishers. Local dancing troupes representing various
social, ethic and cultural groups took enthusiastic participation to showcase their performance during
the event that brought about a great educational-entertainment.
The support generated from the event had prompted the Chapter to organise this year's event on a bigger
scale to include participation from invited National Societies from ASEAN countries and Asia-Pacific
region.
MRC Miri Chapter hopes that this event will promote mutual understanding among races and nations.
