Blood Donor Recruitment

The Blood Donor Recruitment Sub-committee of Malaysian Red Crescent Society, Miri Chapter organized a blood donation campaign for World Blood Donors' Day on 11th June 2006 at Boulevard Shopping Complex. A total of 84 pints of blood were collected out of 130 persons came forward.



Blood Donors' Night on 17th September 2006 at Imperial Hotel, Miri.

The Blood Donor Recruitment Sub-committee of Malaysian Red Crescent Society, Miri Chapter organized a dinner cum award giving ceremony during the Blood Donors' Night on 17th September 2006 at Imperial Hotel, Miri. It was officiated by YB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr. George Chan Hong Nam. A total of 901 blood donors were invited. About 500 blood donors and guests attended the function. Sarawak Shell Berhad sponsored 3 pewters for 3 outstanding blood donors. The pewter for the highest overall blood donor for year 2006 went to Mr. Stephen Ak Injan. The pewter for the highest pint of blood donated by men for 2006 went to Mr. Lee Pit Chong. The pewter for the highest pint of blood donated by women for 2006 went to Mdm Yong Lee Na. The "Highest Achiever, youngest male blood donor for 2006 went to Mr. Brakeh Wang. The "Highest Achiever, youngest female blood donor for 2006 went to Norhalifah Bte Junaidi.

The Chapter has employed Cik Suriawaty Binti Sabdin as the Blood Bank Officer on 30th August 2006. Miss Ling Bee Chia is now attached to the office at Headquarters.

TYT Blood Donation Challenge Trophy for 2004 and 2005

The presentation ceremony of the TYT Blood Donation Challenge Trophy for 2004 and 2005 which should be given in year 2006 were postponed to year 2007 because of unforeseen circumstances.
