The Emergency Response & Disaster Preparedness programme had intense training for its volunteers in emergency response mobilisation. Most MRCS Chapters had set up their Emergency Response Teams with their respective command structures. Standard Operating Procedures to respond to emergency are also developed to ensure effective and efficient co-ordination, rapid mobilisation and deployment of manpower and resources to assist the relevant authorities, in the care and management of disaster victims. Our primary functions are focused on:-
- providing assistance to the Welfare Department in the setting up and administration of relief centres; - Mass cooking and feeding - distribution of relief supplies including blankets and clothings - assist in the registration of victims and provide tracing services - providing first aid and nursing care at relief centresDisaster Preparedness - For Yourself & Family
