The Red Crescent apart from being an independent voluntary and benevolent organisation, is very much community service orientated.  It
reaches out to the people who are in need of help, especially the vulnerable
and the hard core poor.Among the services in which the Chapters carry on are:-

-	the mobile library services, first aid services at sporting
	& public events, Town cleaning and environment beautification,
	Health campaign activities such as Anti-dengue, Cholera
	prevention, Healthy Habit & Life-style, Hapititis Immunisation
	and many other social and civic consciousness propagation.

-	Miri Chapters run the Kidney Dialysis Centre for 17 renal
	failure patient and also the Sunflower centre which provides
	special need therapy programme for 30 disabled inmates.
