Assessment of squid stock on Sarawak
Among the species found in Sarawak and identified are;- Loligo duvaucelli,
Loligo chinensis, Sepioteuthis australis, Sepioteuthis lessoniana,
Loligo singhalensis, Loligo bleekeri, Symplecteuthis sp. **,
Tysanoteuthis sp. **

Biodiversity of fish
More than 250 species had been identified. Family with many species found in abundance are Ariidae, Clupeidae, Engraulidae, rays and shark. Among the species are Scieanidae (Panna microdon, Protonibae diacanthus, Panna sp.1, Johnieops sp.1), Clupeidae (Tenualosa toli, Tenualosa macrura), Engraulidae (Setipinna tenuifilis, Setipinna breviceps) dan Ariidae (Arius caelatus, Arius sp.1).
Bamboo clam studies
Harvesting is done from October to April (during monsoon) from May to September no harvesting due to muddy condition of the sand
Research on shad (Tenualosa toli)
Terubok spawning is seasonal having a very short peak period from June to September (4 month) annually. Normally it is caught with gill net and once it is hit it dies
Research of Jellyfish
Landing status for white jellyfish is from March to June while the red species is from October to December. There are 3 dominant jellyfish species in Sarawak namely:-
(a) Lobonema smithii (white jellyfish biggest in Malaysia with average weight is
10 - 15 kg/tail
(b) Rhopilema esculenta (red jellyfish)
(c) Mastigias papua
